Hahah! We all know he took the role in Tai Ping so that he can spend his birthday with SS in Hengdian. Actually Sammul Chan was initially slate for the prince role, but he couldn’t make it bcos of that new min guo drama with Tang Yan.
I’m very doubtful Sammul will even consider the role to begin with, he’s such a miscast playing the ‘barbaric’ prince, haha but then the visual may be even funnier

It does start off a bit slow but I guarantee you’ll be hooked by the first 番外/deleted scene (somewhere around page 6). This was the tale that had all the tieba members wondering if it’s Yuan Mengmeng himself hiding behind the screen, so there you go.

The dearie writing this must had access to my id and ego! I really wont be surprised if years down the road, YH and LSS get married and he outs himself as the shadow writer of this masterpiece Fanfic, coz the Yuan Mengmeng part is really the best part.
It’s really a shame K is such a little person, because the epicness of DaMoYao can only be done by YH+LSS+HG

The first deleted scene is perhaps my favourite part from a writing standpoint, but Chapter 13 (for 13th Prince, ha) is ZOMG swoonworthy–the UST unleashed in that scene!! *starry eyes*
And oh, the scene when they go back to Shanghai! I can’t stop smiling when I think of it.
I also looove every interaction Lao Yuan has with HG in this fic, had me in stitches.

Well, Tai Ping does seem entertaining at least and YH’s scenes look funny!
I’m trying to continue watching Ru Yi for YM’s sake. Unfortunately, while maybe not as POS as Clothing The World, it’s just as boring. And worse…Hawick and Yang Mi’s characters are *horror* bland.
BTW, have you read Da Mo Yao? It looks like Huo Qu Bing is actually Tong Hua’s favourite male character, even more so than those awesome BBJX princes! An arrogant bad boy who’s ruthless and cold on the surface, yet oh-so romantic, loving and tender to his woman. Does this sound familiar? Heheheh. I’m still sitting on the fence whether Hu Ge can do this…
O yes, I knew of HQB being TH’s fav char during the preproduction of BBJX, it’s actually the second instance of TH forming a positive image in my head to be ballsy to not go with any BuBu prince, the politically correct answer. The first of course is of her vividly falling for YH and accounting it on weibo. It’s then that I go grab the book and read it. I liked it more than BBJX the novel tbh, because I think the drama adaptation does take care of some issues in the book I have (fleshing out 8) although it also has a lot of flaws in closer look.
*sigh* rewatching BBJX was a huge mistake for me because I can’t stop myself nitpicking even on the acting and tbh, Shishi still is a bit incapable of fleshing every nuance of emotion out, she’s good, she’s better, but still not quite perfect. Like you, I think she’s a miscast for YuJin, I can see her being an ok RuoXi when casted. There’s a cool wildness that she’s just not looking the part and it’ll be extremely taxing on her acting chops. I don’t see it in her to overcome it, to be a partypooper and antiShishi-sounding and all.
And more fr weirdo-me, I’ve always held an opinion HG has sth in him to be this kind of tortured melodrama prince/dreamboat. It’s his misfortune (to sign TR) to be typecasted in his stupid CP1 role and thus became his cashcow. I’m holding out hope he’ll surprise me.
I don’t care for Wallace as an actor at all. But I’m also not holding out high hopes of TR doing a completely kickass job. It’ll be earnest, they’ll try their darnest, just like BBJX, but yeah, I wont surprise me being absolutely good, my speculation
Looks like Wallace won’t be Linghu Chong. He will be in Da Mo Yao with HG and LSS, in a love triangle.
But the thing is, I think I can tolerate Wallace the most out of the bunch. I can’t stand JoeChen at all nowadays and it’s clearer and clearer to me she’s insanely overrated as an actress. She’ll be hammy and horrible and nth remotely the cool fox that is REN YINGYING! :((( And who knows when YZ will start his shooting?! But yeah, my rule is I’ll lose all respect for any actor working on a YZ PoS, simple.
I’ll forget about HanDong entirely if he really takes up the role of the slimeball middleaged rapist.
