The Best and The Worst

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way.  – Tales of two Cities

I keep trying to beam to my older gen as I recite it in my head like a Rosary almost, last two weeks of my life.  This is my sincere eulogy to Grandpa and a spontaneous drama senseless spazz all-in-one.

Long Time No See

It was Friday…

sad with the loss of Bella Yao/姚貝娜.     I will remember, no matter how long have passed, you are still that passionate young lady who wants to get out of a hospital bed of the insatiable want to sing/还是昔日多情的少年.    Voice of an angel, sing on where there are no human pain and sufferings where…

…wings are leaves fallen in heaven.  RIP *pray*

Only Love can Heal

Or better, love and many warm words from Loverboy.   Who greeted the world this morning his time with ‘Good morning, Kunming.  Good morning, China.’

Hang in there, good people on earth and in heaven.  We will build a bridge between with prayers for you.  They can’t kill us all, they can’t do a thing about something we call human spirit.

Tony Leung at Miss You Much Leslie Concert 2013

繼續寵愛.十年 Still fanatically loving.  10 Years.   Is the name of the commemorative concert held last night, broadcasted live on TVB.  The painfully private Tony Leung made a rare public appearance and left my jaws dropped on top of my constantly streaming flow of tears,  These must be some of his own most sappy emotional words he’s ever uttered in public.

RIP Adam MCA Yauch, the best of the Beasties.  Positive thoughts to his dear friends and family.  This is too much.  I love the Beastie Boys, so talented, pushing the barriers and boundaries, cool and hip and forever relevant.  And they brought so much fun to so many of us growing up in the 80s/90s. They define hiphop for me even when I haven't even heard of the genre, this is 'American' music to my ears in my youth ( I do lament the poor babies of this generation with their Mileys and Biebers).  I was a PetShopBoys gal, but I fell in love with Beastie Boys the instant I heard this, not able to understand much of the rapping with my not there yet english comprehension, even the shallow ends of my brain clicked and had crushes on them, all three of them.

I am so sad for YooChun and YooHwan, my condolences.  It's always impossibly hard, and to know of the tragic news on flight, and with all the cameras pointing an inch fr ur face waiting for you at the airport and u can't even cry ur eyes out.  It broke me.

I'm stealing this fr this dearie who wrote (I hope she doesn't mind it):  The only thing I can do for you now, is to draw.  Always stand by Yuchun. And be a tiny glimmer of glow by your side. RIP.
@WenjunQ现在我唯一能够为你做的事,只有画画了。always stand by Yuchun,成为你身旁的一点光。[蜡烛]

I hope they'll let the poor boy have all the time he needs to mourn.  He looks so much frailer than his usual paperthin stature is already.  So SBS, don't rush RP for purpose of $ or rating.  Trust the Cassies, they'll thank you, monetarily, hugs..kisses, loyalty.. fr the bottom of their sweet souls. And let RP air whenever its ready.

RIP, Mr. Park.

My parents are traveling to Tibet on the new rapid train fr Beijing, I haven’t got in touch with them yet, am desperate just to hear their voices!   Just yesterday, there’s a collision of the new trains south of Shanghai.  The saddest and most terriblepart is the government has already started burying the scene in dirt less than 24 hrs after the crash when 6 train cars were crushed, 4 thrown off the bridge.  There won’t be an official list of the passengers perished, injured, missing…no figures we can believe anyways. It is all kind of conspiracies, bribery…everything revolting imaginable tangled mess.

I’ve been bombarding myself with all the news fr weibo, fr HK news…and the more I read, the more I’m depressed, fedup and literally want to throw up.  I do not understand a country, a government that set the priority to cover their own arses instead of give even just a part of their attention to the victims, I’m sooooooo outraged a 2~3 yr old girl is saved fr one of the cars WHEN they in in the process of bulldozing it, and calling it a ‘miracle’ clearing up the scene.  Yes, it’s a miracle alright the baby survived under the ‘care’ of such a massive pool of f*ckedupness. There’s no freaken humanly possible way 6 huge cars of train, 600+passengers in toll, fallen off a bridge stories high and sieving through the rubble alone can be done in less than a day and they DARE to declare no sign of life hence started clearing it up like some construction site ‘so there is no subsequent delay of schedules’   There are accidents that are tragic but not in our hands to prevent, then there’s the ones happening in CN that will make every sane person’s blood boil.

Please God, this is too much for the world in a day to bear.  Condolences, Rest in Peace to all the victims of the terrorist attack and mass murder by negligent corrupted to the core government.

Rest in Peace.

RIP Amy Winehouse, we are blessed to have you briefly with us and a taste of your out of this world talent.  :*(

RIP: Another passing of a Star….and ramblings on Days of Being Wild

Alan Tang, 鄧光榮 has died last night of a heart attack.  The real deal Godfather of HK cinema that’s not into Show like a  certain International Star.  He’s so well loved in his field…and my Mom’s first onscreen crush.

When I watched my share of school idol dramas, Hanadan and their likes, my mom always sneak in a reference to her Student Prince Gen N1 Alan Tang.

He’s good at his studies, he won the role of the student prince in the idol drama of  the Cantonese Wave in the 60s.  But after bursting into great stardom, he continued his schooling, earned his diploma, then became a bona fide teenage dreamboy.

A clip of his very first movie, Student Prince

It’s an eerie coincidence when I’m jumping up and down reading a Mingpaonews Weekly article on the 20th anni remastered Days of Being Wild and its precious, unseen before bts and its rumored part2. WKW, u slyslysly fox, u have enough footage shot of a part2 and u’ve kept it fr me for TWENTY YEARS!! u bastard!  The article also has the last tidbits of the last day in Leslie’s life.  April fools is coming up, but I can never have a good old laugh without remember him since 8 years ago.  I’m sure more than half of HK is with me, united we mourn, still.

The coincidence is Mr. Alan Tang, by the time WKW was starting his PD career late 80s early 90s, was very involved in funding films and working backstage in greenlighting HK movies, he financed As Tears Go By and make WKW a name and street cred to do what he did with Days of Being Wild and THAT collection of HK moviestars at their peak.  Mr Tang financed that as well, in the ballpark of 40 million HKD of his OWN $.  DoBW bombed at the box office, but I’m forever grateful, as it stands it’s on my all time best HK movie list, and it has my favorite Leslie character.

God Speed Mr Tang, RIP.  You will be fondly remembered.
